‘Pain Sluts’ makes Wales Book of the Year 2022 shortlist

On July 1st 2022, Literature Wales announced the shortlist for the 2022 Wales Book of the Year and ‘Pain Sluts’ has made the shortlist of only three titles in the English language fiction category, all of which will compete for the Rhys Davies Trust Fiction Award.

The other two titles in the English language fiction category are I Am the Mask Maker and other stories, by Rhiannon Lewis (Victoria Press) and The Fortune Men by Adifa Mohamed (Viking, Penguin Random House).

All the titles in the English language fiction category will compete with  titles across categories as diverse as Poetry, Children and Young Fiction, and Creative Non-Fiction, in English and Welsh for the prestigious Wales Book of the Year 2022 overall winner. There will also be an opportunity for people to vote for their favourite title in the People’s Choice Award competition hosted by the Wales Arts Review.

Good luck everyone! See you on the other side!
